In 2024, amidst the turmoil of technological revolution and societal upheaval, the nation of Bitcoinia found itself on the precipice of internal conflict. Once unified under the banner of the Satoshian Core, the discovery of a mysterious and potent resource known as "runes" catalyzed a division that would reshape the very fabric of the land. These runes, arcane in nature and seemingly imbued with the power to manipulate the blockchain—a foundational technology upon which the entire society was built—promised unparalleled power to those who wielded them.

It was the RSIC Faction that first unearthed these runes, leveraging their discovery to establish the state of Runecoinia within Bitcoinia. Their triumph was short-lived, however, as the Canidae Army soon after discovered an even larger rune deposit, leveraging this wealth to claim a vast territory to the north and establish their own governance under their Spartan King.

As news of these discoveries spread like wildfire, the landscape of Bitcoinia fragmented further. New states emerged: the enigmatic Fehu Federation, the robust Decentralized Provinces, the industrious Runix States, the resilient Lobo League, and the fervently patriotic People's Republic of Satoshi Nakamoto. Each faction, driven by the promise of runes, staked their claims, fortified their territories and prepared for the inevitable conflicts that runes' power would incite.

Amidst this burgeoning conflict, the Steel Bamk of Nakamoto, a coalition of wealthy bankers, rose to prominence, amassing wealth and influence through their mercenary army. Parallel to this, the Epic Union stirred the masses into a religious fervor with their veneration of the Inscribed Epic Satoshi, an icon symbolizing divine sanction of their cause.

The most recent and perhaps the most ominous development was the emergence of the Rune State in the south, where the Metal Men, a mysterious faction of androids, claimed revolutionary advancements with rune technology.

In this era of strife and wonder, the intimate perspective of Corporal S. Custody, a young officer in the Runecoinian Army stationed on the Runic Front, provides a poignant window into the human element amidst the chaos.
